LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday May.26.2006]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Looks like the Pussycat Dolls are too hot for Hasbro.

The nation's second biggest toymaker has canceled plans to make a line of dolls based on the all-female pop group, the Pussycat Dolls.

According to the Associated Press, Hasbro shelved the idea because it felt the Pussycat Dolls--who are known for their sexy stage show and skimpy outfits--appealed to a much older audience than the young one Hasbro had anticipated. Hasbro said marketing a line of Pussycat Dolls figures would be "inappropriate" for the company.

"Interscope's current creative direction and images for the recording group are focused on a much older target audience than we had anticipated at the time of our original discussions, thereby making a doll line inappropriate for Hasbro," Hasbro said in a statement.

A national advocacy group called Dads & Daughters had also led a letter-writing campaign to convince the toymaker to halt plans for manufacturing the Pussycat Dolls toy line.
