BURBANK, CA  [Thursday Jan.8.2004]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, will join David Bowie and 60's casualty, Brian Wilson, on the soundtrack for the upcoming documentary 'Mayor of the Sunset Strip'.

The film, to be released March 18th and directed by the director of the finest civil war zombie movie ever, "The Killing Box", centers on Los Angeles relic and influential disc jockey, Rodney Bingenheimer.

"Rodney on the Roq", Bingenheimer's show on L.A. station KROQ, is credited with focusing on artists like The Ramones, The Sex Pistols and Coldplay, in addition to Wilson and Bowie.

Bingenheimer was also the subject of a fabulous song by Los Angeles punk act "The Angry Samoans". He also had a cameo in the motion picture "Rockula".
