BURBANK, CA  [Wednesday Jan.14.2004]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson are planning a 30 city co-headlining tour which will begin late February.

The dates will be announced later in the week.

Both singers are excited about the prospect of appearing on the same stage and Aiken said he was proud to be associated with American Idol and fellow contestants like Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard.

On his web site, Aiken wrote "We are thrilled about sharing the stage for this momentous next step in both of our careers."

"The Way", a song co-written by Enrique Iglesias, will be Aiken's next single and is deciding what the theme of the video will be.

Clarkson, meanwhile, wins the understatement of the year award in reference to a follow-up to her big screen debut. "I'm not much of an actor… Maybe I need to take a class or two first."
