About her first solo record, "Love, Angel, Music, Baby," the No Doubt singer tells MTV, "I feel like I got something out of the way. I needed to do this to feel like I wasn't missing out on something. And that clock that was ticking, ticking, ticking? I feel like the clock isn't as loud in my ears anymore. I feel like I got it out of my system."

And what about Stefani's first single, "What You Waiting For?" Says Stefani, "It felt like it was my explanation for doing the record. It just feels like the perfect way to come out with the record."
