In a video statement, Usher said, "It's a pleasure being on the list. I've been working really hard on my sexiness. Hopefully, I can live up to the expectations."

West told MTV that he was surprised to be on the list, "especially after I was in a car accident two years ago, where I broke my mouth in three places."

Actor Jude Law was deemed the Sexiest Man Alive by the magazine. People's "Sexiest Men Alive" issue is on newsstands now.
