Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne plan charity record for Asia.
by Krista Desens ![]() LOS ANGELES, CA [Monday Jan.10.2005] /RedBoxCode.com/ -- It seems Simon Cowell has a heart after all. The cruel-to-be-kind American Idol judge and Sharon Osbourne are putting together a single to raise money for Southeast Asia's tsunami victims. Cowell and Osbourne, who judge the British talent show "X-Factor," want to remake Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." Clapton wrote the song after his infant son's tragic death in 1991. Cowell told the Associated Press, "If we can get the right people on board, we'll do it." So who are "the right people?" Gwen Stefani is reportedly on board to make the charity record, as are Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John and Rod Stewart. Wanna own a piece of Gwen Stefani?
