LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Apr.19.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Several artists on the Net Music Countdown have new albums out today, April 19.

Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas makes his solo debut with the 12-track album, "Something To Be." The record features guest appearances by John Mayer, Robert Randolph, and guitarists Mike Campbell (Tom Petty's Heartbreakers), Wendy Melvoin (Wendy and Lisa), and Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow). "Something To Be" will be released as a Dual Disc and, according to Amazon.com, features 5.1 surround sound, a 20-minute documentary on the making of the album, and the holiday tune, "Christmas in New York."

"Who Is Mike Jones?" is another hotly anticipated release available now. The Houston MC is known for his underground "screw" mixtapes on the Swishahouse label and also for his "Still Tippin'" single, released last year. Now he's releasing his 14-track major label debut in both an original and "chopped and screwed" version.

DJ Z-Trip also releases his latest, "Shifting Gears," on Hollywood Records today. The new album features collaborations with Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, Public Enemy's Chuck D. and Soup of Jurassic 5. For those of you living in the Los Angeles area, Z-Trip is making a special appearance tonight, April 19, at Amoeba Records in Hollywood at 7 pm.
