LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Jun.3.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Coldplay will embark on a two-month, North American tour beginning August 2 in Toronto.

The band is hitting the road to promote its forthcoming album, "X&Y," which gets released this Tuesday, June 7.

Coldplay has stops scheduled throughout the US including shows in Hartford, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Irvine, Phoenix, New York, Tampa, Nashville, Atlanta, Minneapolis and more. The tour runs through September 30, when Coldplay performs at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia.

Tickets for most shows go on sale this Saturday, June 4, through Ticketmaster.
