LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Jun.20.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Dave Matthews Band fans may want to check out "Haughty Melodic" -- the new album from former Soul Coughing frontman Mike Doughty.

"Haughty Melodic" was released on Dave Matthews' label, ATO Records, and the album includes a guest appearance by Matthews, who duets with Doughty on the song "Tremendous Brunettes."

So how did Doughty come to be signed by Matthews?

"I ran into Dave at [the] Bonnaroo [Music Festival] and told him that I had some songs done," Doughty tells the Nashville City Paper. "It turns out he'd already heard about some of the songs, and he also really loved 'Rockity Roll' [a 2003 Doughty EP]. He was very open to getting the finished work on his label."
