NEW ORLEANS, LA  [Tuesday Jul.12.2005]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Hurricane Dennis has upstaged Kelly Clarkson.

The fierce storm led the "Since U Been Gone" singer to postpone this week's scheduled tour stops in New Orleans, Louisiana and Pensacola, Florida.

Clarkson took into consideration the safety of her fans and severe storms in the US Gulf Coast when making her decision to postpone the sold-out shows previously scheduled for Sunday July 10th at the UNO Arena in New Orleans and Tuesday July 12th at the Pensacola Civic Center in Pensacola, Florida.

According to Clarkson's label RCA Records, new dates will be announced as soon as possible for the New Orleans and Pensacola concerts, and all tickets sold for these two shows will be honored for the re-scheduled dates.

Clarkson is on the road to support her second album "Breakaway."
