BERLIN, GERMANY  [Monday Mar.27.2006]  /RedBoxCode.com/ -- Coldplay was among the winners at this year's Echo Music Awards, held earlier this month in Berlin.

During the German music awards show on March 12th, Coldplay was named Best International Rock/Pop Group for their album "X&Y."

Madonna won the most awards of the evening, taking home Song of the Year for her single "Hung Up" and Best International Female Artist.

British singer-songwriter James Blunt earned the Best New International Artist award, while rapper 50 Cent received the Best International Hip-Hop/R&B Artist award.

Other 2006 Echo Award winners included System of a Down, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, AC/DC and Bob Geldof.
